It starts with an early morning visit to Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest floating market in the Mekong Delta. Float through bustling trade scenes with vendors selling staple commodities, local products, steaming noodle soups and the freshest of fruits. As the morning bustle begins to slow, return to the shore for a transfer to the border town Chau Doc for an overnight stay.

On arrival Chau Doc in the afternoon, we visit Tra Su National Bio Reservation forest - 25km from town; this is a great place to visit when you're staying in Chau Doc. Seating on a longboat with a motor that takes you through water covered in green lilies. A bit surreal as it almost likes land, then switches to a rowing boat which makes a trip through the forest with the green stuff on the water. This ecological spot is the habitat of many genera of water birds (mostly storks), colonies of bats and various rare animal and bird species.

Day 4: Chau Doc - Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel then transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City. On the way back, stop at Mekong Restop for lunch. 

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 5: Cu Chi Tunnels - Speed boat on Saigon River (B, L)

Pick-up at the hotel and transfer to Tan Cang pier by comfortable minivan. 08:00 AM Depart to the Cu Chi tunnels by speedboat. When onboard, enjoy a light breakfast of The Pat’ a Chou cake with Lavie water & seasonal fruits, enjoy the fresh air and understand the daily life of local citizens living along the river banks.

Arrive at the Cu Chi Tunnels, explore your excursion by watching a documentary film about one of the most sophisticated man-made tunnels together with its extraordinary wartime legends and:

– Walking in the jungle and visiting the traps, the secret entrances, the bunkers, and underground hideouts

– Relaxing with shooting real guns at the riffle range of Cu Chi Tunnels. (Exclusive of bullets)

– Seeing the rice-paper (spring roll skin) and rice-wine production line

– Crawling into the tunnels and enjoying the special and fantastic feeling

– Taking a rest, drinking green tea and having tapioca – the main food served during wartime.

Back to to Tan Cang resort by boat for lunch with delicious 7-courses. Transfer back to Saigon to be dropped off at hotel (~2PM).

Day 6: Saigon City Tour  - Full day history (B, L)

In the morning, the car and driver will pick you up from the hotel at 8:00 AM and start the city tour. We will visit the War Remnants Museum: the story of Vietnam - American war. Exhibits include photographs, machinery, and weapons that depict the harsh realities of war.

Visit Thien Hau Temple in China Town, one of the most important pagodas in the city, this richly decorated temple is dedicated to Thien Hau, the Goddess of the Sea and patron of sailors. She is said to travel over the oceans on a mat and ride the clouds to wherever she desires. China town: settled in the late 18th century, this labyrinthine section of Ho Chi Minh City bustles with restaurants, temples, exotic stores, and markets. Binh Tay market. Experience of this integral part of the city's daily business.

Have lunch at a local restaurant. 

In the afternoon, visit Reunification Palace which was the residence of President Nguyen Van Thieu of former South Vietnam until 1975 (the 1960s - Apr 1975s). The tour continues to Notre Dame CathedralCentral Post Office.

Walking down Dong Khoi street, one of the busiest and luxury streets of Saigon, see the City Hall a beautiful example of French colonial architecture 

The tour finish after visiting the Ben Thanh market at around 04:30 - 5:00 PM.

Day 7: Departure (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time to visit the local market to see local life or explore the city by yourself until we take the afternoon flight to the next destination. End of package.
